Republicans have said that they intend to impeach Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner for being soft on crime and enabling “chaos” to rule in the streets, following the successful recall of Soros-backed San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin in a 60-40 landslide. On Monday, state representatives Tim O’Neal, Josh Kail, and Torren Ecker introduced articles of impeachment against Krasner. On Fox and Friends, the three appeared together to discuss the impeachment.
“We wish to call attention to the district attorney’s failure to perform his duties. Families have been crushed, lives have been lost, property has been ruined. It’s time to stop. And we need to act, and we need to return to the basics in this commonwealth, and in this country in general, we need to return to law and order. In Philadelphia, chaos has taken hold far too long, and it’s time to put an end to it.”
Among the complaints leveled against Krasner are, but are not limited to:
-After a tragic mass shooting in Philadelphia earlier this month, he really attacked the National Rifle Association, saying, “The awful acts last night on South Street signal our Pennsylvania legislators it’s time for real action.” Boycott NRA lobbyists and donations, and push for sensible gun legislation in Pennsylvania. Now.”
-When the victim of an armed carjacking failed to appear in court, Krasner’s office dropped the case, and the culprit was later charged in the death of Temple University student Samuel Collington, who was shot while unloading his vehicle after returning from Thanksgiving with his family last year.
In 2021, Fox News claimed that Krasner made plea deals with violent convicts whose lawyers donated to his campaign, citing city finance records.
Last year, Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police President John McNesby told the Washington Free Beacon, “It’s been a complete train wreck since [Krasner] took office.” “His failing social experiment has resulted in an increase in crime and killings. Criminals on the street are well aware that they will face no consequences. He’s known as ‘Let ‘Em Out Larry,’ which is a joke.”
-In May 2021, the Philadelphia Police Union distributed Mister Softee ice cream outside Krasner’s office to demonstrate that he is “soft on crime,” according to Fox News.
The three state senators are optimistic that the impeachment process will be nonpartisan. They are probably correct, given that the endeavor will take place just before the November elections, and voters are dissatisfied with the state’s growing crime, particularly in Philadelphia. There appears to be a statewide campaign to get rid of George Soros’ soft-on-crime acolytes.
